We are committed to building a positive legacy in the Isaac Region and sharing benefits broadly. At its core, the Croydon Solar Farm is designed to benefit community, by securing reliable and affordable energy for the future.
As part of the project’s approval pathway, we are undertaking a Social Impact Assessment with community and stakeholders across the region. This process will inform a Community Benefit Agreement, which we will develop with Isaac Regional Council. This approach ensures that we identify challenges together with community and stakeholders, and maximise opportunities for long-term and impactful investment, development, and benefit sharing.
We are also continuing early consultation with key stakeholders, including near neighbours, the Barada Barna Aboriginal Corporation, and Isaac Regional Council.
Community engagement update
Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by and speak with us during the drop-in sessions held in Lotus Creek in March.
It was great to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new members of the community. We appreciated the open and constructive conversations. The insights you have shared continue to play an important role in shaping the Project and our approach to community benefit sharing.
Since mid-2025, we have spent time on the ground meeting with neighbours, community members, landholders, local businesses and representatives, and government stakeholders across the Isaac Region. We are now pleased to share our first Community Engagement Report Back, which captures what we have heard to date.
This report ensures your feedback is clearly documented and actively informs project design, mitigation measures, and the Community Benefit Agreement.
What’s next – Community Benefit Agreement (CBA)
As the Project progresses, the next key step will be working with the community and Isaac Regional Council to develop the Community Benefit Agreement.
Working closely with the community is central to the CBA, and we are committed to making this process clear, transparent and inclusive.
To support community understanding, we have prepared a short CBA Fact Sheet, which provides a clear and simple overview of what the CBA is, how it works, and how the community can be involved.
The project team will be returning to the community to host a dedicated CBA session, providing an opportunity to:
- Share more details on how the CBA relates to the Project
- Discuss priorities and opportunities for the local community
- Hear directly from the community on what matters most locally
Stay tuned for more details.
Your feedback matters
If you’re unable to join us, we encourage you to complete the short online feedback survey.
The survey is open until 20 April 2026, and your feedback will help inform the Project’s ongoing development and help shape our Community Benefit Sharing strategy for the Isaac Region.
Thank you for your continued engagement
A sincere thank you to everyone who has engaged with us to date. It has been valuable to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new members of the community.
The conversations we have had, whether at previous sessions, through direct discussions, or via written feedback, genuinely help shape how we approach the Project and how we work with the Isaac Region community.
We look forward to continuing the conversation over the coming months and beyond.
