Project Overview

The Eneabba BESS is a proposed transmission-level Battery Energy Storage System designed to store and supply electricity when it’s needed most, helping keep the power system stable and reliable.

The Project is planned for a 10-hectare site in Warradarge, within the Shire of Coorow in Western Australia’s Mid West.

The battery would store up to 200 MW of energy using lithium iron phosphate technology, housed in secure containers. It would connect directly into the nearby Eneabba Substation, making use of existing infrastructure to reduce costs and minimise environmental impacts.

The Project is currently in its early planning stages, with detailed studies being undertaken to identify impacts.

We’ll work closely with the neighbours, landholders, Traditional Owners, the Shire of Coorow and the broader community to understand local priorities and ensure feedback is reflected in our planning process.

Engagement will be tailored to the local community and may include face-to-face meetings, information sessions, newsletters and digital updates. We will provide clear, regular updates so you can stay informed and involved as the Project progresses.

We are also committed to working collaboratively with the community and key stakeholders to explore meaningful benefit sharing opportunities. This includes looking at ways the Project can deliver lasting local value and contribute to positive outcomes for the region over the long term.
