The Eneabba T-BESS is a proposed transmission-level Battery Energy Storage System designed to store and supply electricity when it’s needed most, helping keep the power system stable and reliable.
The Project is planned for a 10-hectare site in Warradarge, within the Shire of Coorow in Western Australia’s Mid West.
The battery would store up to 200 MW of energy using lithium iron phosphate technology, housed in secure containers. It would connect directly into the nearby Eneabba Substation, making use of existing infrastructure to reduce costs and minimise environmental impacts.
The Project is currently in its early planning stages, with detailed studies being undertaken to identify impacts.
