Project Overview

ACEnergy advanced the project to ready-to-build status before transferring ownership to a dedicated asset owner.

The Pine Lodge BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) is located about 13 kilometres east of Shepparton, in Victoria’s Central North. Once operational, the 250 MW project will act as a key step in the state’s transition to a renewable energy future.

The project has created around 50 jobs during construction to date, and we have partnered with local businesses, accommodation providers, and material suppliers. Once operational, the project is expected to create five full-time jobs to operate and maintain the BESS.

Working with the community

During the early stages of development, the landowner engaged directly with the neighbouring property owners. Additionally, the neighbours were formally notified of the development by the department during the official notification period. No objections were received throughout the development application process.

We will keep the community informed of project progress and impacts throughout the project lifecycle. Our project team is available to answer any questions and welcomes your feedback.
