Delivering agile energy generation assets across Australia.

Project Overview

At ACEnergy, we specialise in distribution-level solar – what we call Micro Solar Farms – designed to deliver reliable, renewable energy directly into local grids. These strategically located, sub-5MW solar projects offer a smart and scalable solution for rural communities to harness clean power during daylight hours.

Unlike large-scale solar developments, our Micro Solar Farms connect to the distribution network at voltages that step down to three- and single-phase supply, making the energy immediately usable by local homes and businesses. A typical 5MW solar farm can power over 1,000 homes daily and can be constructed in as little as six months.

Our Approach

Since our inception, we’ve focused on a decentralised energy model – one that brings energy generation closer to where it’s consumed. This approach emerged from a recognition that transmission-scale projects often face delays, curtailment, and costly infrastructure upgrades, particularly in regions like Western Victoria.
Our Micro Solar Farms are designed to be:

  • Faster to develop
  • More cost-effective
  • Better suited to support regional distribution-grid reliability

Integrated Battery Storage

Every project includes a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a DC-coupled design, allowing surplus solar energy to be stored during peak sunlight hours. This stored energy can then be released during times of higher demand, improving both grid stability and economic performance.

Flexible, Efficient Land Use

We tailor our solar farm designs to suit the location and project goals. ACEnergy installs both:

  • PEG East-West Racking Systems:
A German-engineered, non-invasive solution ideal for compact land use, requiring approximately 8-10 hectares per project. These systems offer rapid installation and minimal ground disturbance.
  • Single-Axis Tracking Systems:
These systems follow the sun throughout the day and can deliver up to 20% more solar irradiation than fixed structures. While they require up to 20 hectares, they maximise energy yield where land availability and conditions allow and in many locations are coupled with sheep grazing.

Our design flexibility ensures we balance energy output, land availability, and environmental impact to achieve the best outcomes for the project and the community.

Community and Environmental Benefits

Our model delivers a wide range of local and environmental advantages:

  • Reliable Power Supply

A Each 5MW Micro Solar Farm supplies clean electricity to over 1,000 households via the local distribution network.
  • Local Job Creation:
We work with regional contractors for installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance – supporting local employment across the project’s 30+ year life.
  • Reduced Infrastructure Costs
:
Micro Solar Farms help avoid expensive upgrades to rural electricity networks, keeping energy prices fairer for consumers.
  • Minimal Environmental Impact
Our development process includes thorough assessments of cultural heritage, ecological sensitivity, and visual impact, ensuring responsible site selection and community alignment.

At ACEnergy, we are proud to be delivering a growing portfolio of Micro Solar Farm projects across Australia, paving the way for a more resilient, sustainable, and community-focused energy future.
